2. Platform Role

4. Listing & Registration

  • Boat Owners may register and list boats for rental free of charge.

  • Boat Sales Listings require a monthly subscription of $19.95 USD per boat to remain active.

  • All listings must be accurate and updated promptly.

  • Owners are solely responsible for:

    • Ensuring boats are properly insured and licensed.

    • Providing truthful descriptions and photos.

    • Maintaining seaworthiness and compliance with maritime safety standards.

5. Fees & Payment

Rentals

  • Boatter.com charges a 15% commission on the total rental amount.

  • This commission is automatically deducted from the Owner’s payout after a confirmed booking.

  • Owners agree that Boatter.com may collect the full rental payment from Clients and remit the amount owed to Owners (minus commission) via the payment method on file.

Sales

  • Owners listing a boat for sale must pay $19.95 per month in advance.

  • This fee is non-refundable, even if the boat does not sell.

6. Booking & Cancellations

  • Booking confirmations are subject to Owner approval (unless Instant Booking is enabled by the Owner).

  • Owners may set their own cancellation policies, which must be disclosed in their listing.

  • In case of disputes, Boatter.com’s decision on refunds, where applicable, will be final, but we are not obligated to mediate or enforce payment between parties.

7. Insurance & Liability

  • Owners are responsible for maintaining adequate insurance for rentals and sales.

  • Clients are encouraged to obtain trip or rental insurance.

  • Boatter.com is not liable for:

    • Any property damage, personal injury, or death.

    • Accidents, breakdowns, delays, or cancellations.

    • Losses due to weather, legal restrictions, or force majeure events.

8. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Provide false information.
